About Me, Exhibitions and Sales

I am a mixed media printmaker. My work combines various techniques and media – usually linocut, graphic marker and acrylic paint pen, artist quality materials. Everything is hand made; lino block is hand carved, inked and printed, then finished by hand with illustration and colour. My work is often inspired by science, especially the interplay of pattern, texture and form found in the natural & manmade word.

Unlike mass produced digital prints, every print I create has its own nuances in terms of hand printed ink, pen and paper. These add to the characteristic and individuality of each piece and make them truly unique. For me printmaking is more about producing an image, making marks with aesthetic qualities that could not be made by any other method. Being able to produce multiple copies of that image is an added bonus, not the purpose. For this reason all my work is printed in small limited editions.

I am based in a hamlet in the Moors of West Yorkshire, UK. My studio is named after the stone sheep sculptures where my children play, round the corner from my home studio.

SALES & COMISSION WORK

Please contact me direct for sales of the work in my portfolio. Any prices listed do not include postage and packing. If there is no price listed it is not currently for sale on line but may still be for sale at an exhibition.

Prices include farming. Frames are solid wood and locally made to order. I frame the work, float mounted to show the deckle edge of the print. Typically framing takes 2-5 working days, during busy periods it can occasionally take up to two weeks.

I also produce commission work, again please contact me to discuss.

POSTAGE

All work will be packaged and shipped differently depending on the work and customer requirements. Please allow 5-7 working days for postage within the UK, and longer for world wide shipping.
